While Kodi is simple to install on a laptop, getting it for a streaming device is somewhat tougher. That’s ironic, considering the app’s interface is optimized for TVs. 1. Access your device settings.

If you own a newer model Sharp AQUOS television powered by Android TV, you can actually run Kodi without needing a set top box. It won’t work on all Sharp AQUOS models, since they aren’t all powered by Android TV. However, Kodi runs great on televisions that do offer Android TV support. Kodi is of course available free of charge, directly through the Google Play Store. Installing Kodi to your Sharp AQUOS television will requiire no technical skills whatsoever, and will likely take less than two minutes from start to finish.
In the guide below, we will walk you through installing Kodi to any Sharp AQUOS television which is powered by Android TV. Those not powered by Android TV will unfortunately not be able to take advantage of Kodi without a set top box or other hardware device.
